So, you didn't get to the theater to see Serenity as instructed? No problem. Just be prepared to explain during your interrogation session under the coming MAWB regime. We'll be accepting hospital bills and signed doctors notes as a valid excuse. Notes from Mom will get you no where. We know she'd lie for you, and we never bought into that "but my child is an angel" crap.
Your transgression will also be overlooked if you provide proof of purchase for the DVD. It's being released Dec. 20. Just in time for Christmas. Imagine that! Amazon has the preorder here.
From your earlier enthusings, I ordered the Firefly series from Netflix. So far we've seen the pilot (Tiger Lilly was not permitted to watch, however) and the first two episodes. I love the real space-western format, the music and the humor. What happened to Ox in "The Train Job" is something I've always wondered why nobody else ever did that after one of those little speeches. My wife, combatting her "Lost" jones now finds herself hooked on another series (DVD, sans commercials, and on your schedule is the way to go). We can't wait for the remaining episodes to arrive. That said, I don't think I'll watch the movie. I stumbled across SEVERE SPOILER information on line about the two characters I most identify with, and I'm not going for it. Oh well, at least there's about a dozen more tv episodes to go!

Welcome back, Sandy! I was about to start singing "Saaaandy, can't you see? Aym in misery..." (Grease) Firefly is on my list of things to do this winter, along with completely overhaul my entire house.
