Pre10tious Twits Unite!!

It all started with this screed, "Why your Movable Type blog must die", at Kuro5hin by one James A C Joyce, which may well have been plagiarized from this essay in the opinion of Jack at Random Fate: Mr. Joyce categorizes his complaints as follows:

You are all pretentious tw*ts
You make up irritating jargon for the sake of it
All your blogs talk about the same cr*p
MT is badly designed
MT's bad design makes it easier to DoS you
You are F****g stupid
You are all sheep
Your blog is f*****g up Google

A quick perusal of the headings is all you need to assess the (lack of) quality in the author's work. Serious discourse is not comprised of insults and name calling. In other words, Joyce's debating skills were stunted somewhere around the third grade level.

Yet, we blogging "sheep" are not the kind to look down upon the less literate. No. We have chosen to lift up Mr. Joyce's work, giving it the notoriety it so richly deserves, in the hope he will be encouraged to continue to improve his social skills and one day be ready for entry into polite society.

As such, we embrace his characterization of the (MT) blogging community. (Brainstorming is not MT in the strict sense, but Typepad is based on MT.) In order to make Mr. Joyce feel he has made some worthwhile contribution to society, John of Argghhh has formed the Pre10tious Twit webring. You'll find the link on the top of my right sidebar. (Contact John if you want to join.)

Seems not many of us are Latte drinkers as charged. John prefers diesel. I've modified my graphic to reflect my usual beverage of choice, water. Please don't tell Mr. Joyce. We don't want to confuse him at this early stage of the socialization process.
