I was driving home from the twin cities on the Friday before Labor Day weekend when I spied a new sign on the side of the road as you entered our little town of about 1,000 people.
What have we here I asked myself? Are the local authorities hard at work to prevent all the tourists driving through town from speeding?
Across from the grocery store I noticed a police cruiser parked as if in warning.....Big Brother is watching. Yet, something just didn't LOOK right. So I took a left and headed around the block to see for myself. And this is what I found.............
Who would have guessed? James Dean working for our little town! Wowser!
After thinking it over, I decided I liked the idea after all. It had Country Sense written all over it.
The local guys knew the highway would be flush with city folk heading through on the way to their vacation spots, and you know we don't want them running over any of our young folk. (The Speed Wave sign was only on one side of town, where the traffic would come in from the city.)
But who wants to work on a holiday weekend? Let's get Jimmy!
I liked it enough to take pictures, then go home and get the hubby to head back and take more.
