911 Fundraiser

What idiot U.S. politician would have the gall to hold a $1,000 a plate fundraiser from 8:30 to 9:30 AM on the morning of SEPTEMBER 11, the second anniversary of the attack on America??

Why the U.S. Senator Patty Murray (D) from Washington, of course.

You may remember the idiot-elect Ms. Murray for her praise of Osama bin Laden's charitable activities last December.

"We've got to ask, why is this man (Osama bin Laden) so popular around the world?," said Murray, who faces re-election in 2004. "Why are people so supportive of him in many countries . . . that are riddled with poverty?

"He's been out in these countries for decades, building schools, building roads, building infrastructure, building day care facilities, building health care facilities, and the people are extremely grateful. We haven't done that.

"How would they look at us today if we had been there helping them with some of that rather than just being the people who are going to bomb in Iraq and go to Afghanistan?"

Hmmmm. Just a few minor problems there Ms. electo-idiot.

First, from the US Department of Agriculture, Foreign Agricultural Service site she might have learned, "The United States has led the international community's response to the suffering of the Afghan people, supplying more than 80 percent of total UN World Food Program (WFP) food aid. For FY 2001, which ended on Sept. 30, 2001, the United States provided nearly $184 million in humanitarian aid to vulnerable Afghans, including about $99.8 million in food aid from USDA."

Maybe I should spell this out, because Patty is obviously pretty slow. B-E-F-O-R-E the attacks on 09/11 the US was A-L-R-E-A-D-Y the largest source of H-U-M-A-N-I-T-A-R-I-A-N aid to A-F-G-H-A-N-I-S-T-A-N.

And Day Care centers were needed for the children of women who weren't allowed to work????? (let alone show a wrist by accident in public.)

But, I digress.

I am shocked, horrified and ashamed to realize that the citizens of the U.S. have elected an idiot of this magnitude, who not only praises our enemies and blames America first to "educate" schoolchildren. No, that's not enough idiocy.

She checked her calendar, thought, "Ooooh I gotta raise some cash for that election next year", and picks the morning of Sept. 11 to hold a fundraiser.

Seriously people, this is one of the 100 people that can best represent America in our Senate?

Not being a voter in Washington state, I can't cast my vote against Patty Murray.

But fear not dear reader. There is something we can do about it and I've created a new category for it, "Pictures For Your Dartboard."

Brainstorming does not advocate violence. I'm just saying it might relieve some stress to download the campaign banner from her website to be used for a little target practice.

I have to say, I thing that Osama, and Ms. Murry would make a lovely couple... Like you, I can't do a thing about it since I'm from the east coast, but I like the idea of the target practice images... Only thought might be to call them dart practice images to avoid some nitwit going out and plugging away, then coming back and blaiming it all on you... (and hey, I'm pro-gun... but there are a lot of idiots out there that have them that I'm not for...)
